It was a radiant and grace filled first Saturday in May as many came with their own flowers to offer, gathering for the Flores de Mayo procession and the novena Mass that followed at St. Anthony’s church. Devotees from AMM Marsfield, AMM Ashfield, and other individuals joined together in a simple, solemn celebration of faith, gratitude, and love for our Blessed Mother.
We were blessed to have Fr. Kevin Canty CM and Fr. Greg Walsh CM concelebrate the Mass. Fr. Greg shared a heartfelt reflection on the meaning of offering flowers to Mary and trusting in her gentle intercession. After Mass, all flower offering was laid to rest at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal inside the church.
We ended by sharing an abundance of food generously brought by many, a simple yet joyful sign of the community’s warmth.
